Symmetry
What place does symmetry have in art? Is it a qualification of beauty or a tool of calculated precision? Consider the < > of musical dynamics. A crescendo for every decrescendo. The form, ABA. A recapitulation. The human face. What place does symmetry have in art?
I find symmetry very beautiful. But maybe art and beauty are unrelated.
As for the movie, The Fountain, where this photo is taken from. I hope people will appreciate it for both its beauty and its artistry, for its symbolism, its motives, its music, and to a certain extent, its symmetry.
